OK, I'll start this post out with a Joke, An angry wife met her husband at the door. He smelled of booze and perfume. "I assume" she snarled, "that there's a very good reason for your waltzing in here at six o'clock in the morning with liqour on your breath and lipstick on your collar?"
"There is" he replied. "I'd like breakfast!"
So now that that's done. How have you all been? Not a whole lot going on here! I went to South Haven Labor day weekend and got rained on and outfished by Smitty, on my own turf! 18 to 3! That's not merely out fished, that is an old fashioned ASS kickin.' Well, Smitty, Brian and Jon are coming up to Bemidji this weekend and I am ready to exact revenge. I am a little worried as to the access ramp on Big and Plantan. as I hear that they are in dire need of rain. We may be restricted to Bemidji but that should be OK as it has been quite good lately for Muskie which is this weekends target fish. Although the walleye bite is still going, just not as hot and heavy as it once was. Dad was up last week and I took him and Nipper out and we did pretty well as I had 8 fish to clean and we lost a few as well. I lost a very nice 'eye right at the net that was in the 25" to 26" range. But I would really like to hammer a nice Muskie this weekend. But would also just like to have one of the guys see or take a fish. Especially Brian who has been through a lot this summer. He deserves a Fish!!
This post is really a shout out to a very special person in my life and I want her to know that I really do miss her and hope that she is enjoying her time away from me. I know, all you gals are wondering just who in the hell am I talking about, but well lets just say, that I can not wait for the next 9 1/2 weeks to pass! Goose hunting holds special meaning to me this year!
Next, My MOM made me killer Potato Salad and sent it up to Bemidji with Dad and I ate a bunch of it tonight. Damn my Mom Rocks!! She is truely a SAINT! Those who know my Dad know that this must be true!!
Next, The Vikings Win? On the road? What the heck? How can this be? Suspending your starting Safety for Having Sex with a Wisconsin woman in a bar room stairwell? In his place start a rookie? This is surely not a Mike Tice led Team! The starved for talent Packers sign Koren Robinson. I wonder how fast he drove to Green Bay? and what was he drinking or better yet what was the Packers front office drinking???
Now the Twins, Justin M. you big Puss, what the hell were you thinking?? You are 6'4" and WHITE! You can not run! You have no speed! Why you trying to turn a ground ball single into a double. Ah well, 1 game does not a season make, but fuck dude! That was big!!! And the pirahna's looked like neon tetras today! Francisco, it was nice while it lasted. Keep the faith Twins fans, I'd still rather be backing the Twins than the Sinking ship called the Tigers. I still believe that the Sox and A.J. will win the division but still have hopes of the lovableTwins taking the Wildcard with the Tigers left wondering what if!
