Fisherman, Waterfowler and all around good guy!

Wow, That last post was just a little bit dramatic! So this one will be upbeat and filled with......who the heck knows where these fingers will lead me. First, I made it back home from the years last waterfowl hunt in North Dakota, this years hunt were successful as limits were shot all around, however we had to hunt hard and spent many more hours afield. Much more that previous years. A few highlights, Jumping and sitting on a secluded pothole watching the sun ebb in the western sky, as ducks spiralled down around us. The evening sky alight with flames from our barrels, OK mostly Wayne the "Duckling Killers" barrel. (no watch) A wonderful morning on Island Lake, in the Water Bitch. The G & H Super Mag Bills in string formation, and watch as flight after flight of bills, buff's, mallards, mergies and goldeneyes, metriculate into our waiting shot strings. So close, that I now believe that ducks do have facial expressions. Magnificent!!! Other noteable highlights, The Halloween Costume Party at the Wagon Wheel in Rollette. Ask any who were there, it was a hell of a night. Lap dances by "Tweety Bird" thank god it was a girl.(later revealed) right smitty? Ms. Saskachawan, the cheerleader(voted most popular 3 years running) and of course the bunnies. The cast of Gilligan's Island and lots of adult beverages. One hunter in the group was unable to make the opening bell the next morning. One wished he didn't. Here is a note to myself, stop at the 6th or 7th Tequela shooter and do not mix Windsor, Beer and Jag and Tequela. EVER AGAIN!! or at least untill next year!!!!!!
Sad thing was that I shot alot better this trip.
I leave Thursday for the big city and then Friday morning to Wausau, WI to see Bill and Stacy and attempt to put a 165 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip into a large Wisconsin Whitetail. This is the first time in a while that I have been in the stand. Actually, all I really want, is to see a deer while I have the Remdog 700 in hand. It's sighted in real good, so I really have no excuse except Buck Fever or lack of Quality. By the way the wind is howling outside the snow has stopped after depositing 2-3" of white powder the wind chill is hovering around -20 and I will be up in a tree dressed as the "Great Pumpkin". I most certainly am NUTS!! I have never claimed to be a great Deer Hunter, but remember I am called "Lucky" for good reason. I hope you all have a Great Thanksgiving!

It has been determined that Spike is to have one more shot at some Mallards, as a trip has been booked to Reelfoot Lake in Tenn., with Black Jack Pocket Hunt Club. The end of the first week of January. "Yeah Baby!"
