Thank You Hippie Boy!
The young Jerry Garcia wanna be, pulled the 3" Magnums fat out of the fire tonight with smokin' precision and cool, laser guided, smart bomb accuracy. Spike's free fall from the leader board continued with his most dismal showing of the season, it was truly sad and excruciating to watch. It was a good thing that children were not allowed in the Hardtimes Saloon tonight because, 1)the smoke from the cigarettes would have surely stunted their growth, and probably shortened their lives by at least a decade. 2) If the smoke didn't kill them outright, watching Spikes off target throws would have. Totally Pathetic! G-Unit also was stone cold at the start. Actually, The Mutt was struggling mightily also. Jason, the hippie boy was the only thing that kept the boys head above water. Falling behind 5 games to 1, had the boys rolling their eyes and praying, that the agony would end. Possibly the G-Units prayers were answered, or maybe there was just no way that the boys could throw worse that they had. I'm going with the Prayers! The improbable comeback started with a couple of "Hippie Boy", back to back Win's. Then "The Mutt", pulled off the best 3 darts of his young dart career. Trailing the entire game with only bulls to go, Kenny tossed a double, and two single bulls to close them off and allow the G-Unit to close it off for the win! Tying the match at 5 all. The 11th game was a see-saw battle that saw both sides just missing the dart needed to win. Finally the Sexy Bastards team, stopped the bleeding and took the 6-5 lead. The G-unit and Spike anchored the 12th game and in another nip and tuck game, G-Unit finally nailed the bull to end the evening in a 6-6 draw. The 3" Magnums, unbeaten streak in league matches still continues. Eleven weeks and the Mag's have not gone down to defeat yet, but if their play does not improve soon, that day maybe soon upon us. We have one week left before the league takes a 2 week hiatus. On Wednesday night, December 20th the 3" Magnums take on Team Blackout, from the Wilton Bar. The match starts at 8 pm, at the Home of the Mag's, the 209 Bar and Grill. Be sure to be there, it's sure to be a heck of a Christmas Party Celebration! One last thing, The No Smoking Ban starts in Bemidji, on January 1st, Thank God! The Hardtimes tonight was like playing darts in a forest fire. At times the dart board was almost obscured by second hand smoke. Just being in there for 2 hours I'm sure I inhaled a couple of packs. Usually, I have no problem with smoke. But man! I think I have black lung! Sorry no pictures tonight, would not have seen much but clouds of smoke anyways. The groupies did show up later than usual as they took a ladies day out and went to the chick flick "Holidays" which they said was very, very, long. Not sure if that means that the movie was good or bad? That's all for now!I'm off to the hyperbolic chamber so I can cleanse my poor crusted lungs and burning eyes.
